In an exclusive interview with him from Istanbul , Cansel Elçin said:I am eager to know about Dubai and I respect Beren saat very much
In a very short time , The Turkish actor Cansel Elcin took a special place in the Arab viewers hearts after he won their admiration and stole their hearts by his role as Murat in the series "flower seller "  with the famous actress Tuba Büyüküstün " Lamis" .
Cansel Elcin has a very calm personality , when he talks to you, you can notice that he chooses his words carefully, you can see that he is very gentle, talking with him is very interesting.
We met him exclusively in Istanbul where he revealed to "Sayidaty" many secrets about the series , the hidden side in his personality , the period when he was living in France and his and his constant passion for traveling.

• How did you get an offer to act in the series " Flower seller" and after you read the scenario , how did you prepare for your role?
• Before talking about " Flower seller" series, I would like to say that I am so proud of my previous series " Remember darling " that I participated in it with the actress Beren saat " known as Samar" and after we finished this series , it was necessary for me to take a rest for a year. At that time , I participated in the movie " Bare foots in the university campus" and after the movie directly, "Tomris Giritlioglu" offered to me my role in the series " Flower Seller". I discovered that this role requires an attractive character that knows a lot about music and this offer brought out enthusiasm inside me.
• "Murat" role was very suitable for you.
• It had a great effect on me , I mean that it affected me regarding to my knowledge about music and for me to be a part in a musical story is very interesting.
• "Murat" is playing Piano , was that difficult for you  or you had a previous experience in playing piano?
• Unfortunately , I didn't have any professional musical  experience . Some families train their children on musical instruments but I didn't have  this chance ..But as I was living in France , I was in an atmosphere full of music.
• You lived in France , but were you born in Turkey?
• Yes, I was born in Tira where I stayed till the age of ten , then I moved with my family to France. I remember that my father was singing  "Zeki Muren"   songs in his car . And when it was asked from me to play piano in the series , of course I found difficulty to do that because I don't know anything about that field and with the help of my teacher , the pianist Mucur Mine ,I get to know useful principles in playing music and I trained on how to play piano continuously for four months but my role in the series "Murat" was  a character of a very professional pianist and four months period of playing piano is very short for me to become a professional pianist. My only concern was to be able to play some musical pieces and I know how to read notes but I have very good musical ears.
• Do you keep training to play piano?
• Of course , I didn't leave piano and I keep training.
• What did you love about this series?
• There are both poor neighborhood and rich people who live in palaces and despite the big difference between poor and rich people , we see that the feelings meet at one point through two characters from two different worlds fall in love , a man is trying to turn a poor woman into a star. 
• Is it possible for love to be born in real life between 2 characters from 2 different worlds as we see in novels and movies?
• Of course, it is possible to happen because heart doesn't obey orders and love usually becomes bigger and more honest when it faces difficulties , no strong love occurs in relationships without difficulties . If we look carefully , we can see many rich people unhappy in their lives and this because they put limits in their relationships. 
• Do you think that there is a lack of communication?
• Yes there is , the worst thing that can happen when a person lives lonely and locks all his doors infront of the outside world . For example , I love in a nice neighborhood , I go to the supermarket and the butcher shop and I move from place to another using public transport . The actor shouldn't be away from his fans and he must be close to them.
• Funny memories
•  when viewers love a series , they try to get closer to its stars . For example in the series 'Flower seller ' , you as "Murat" and Tuba as "lamis"  lived a great love story and there was a chemistry in acting between you and Tuba , Does this reflect your success in playing your roles?
• The story is the cause of our success , it is nice story but not real and as the story was talking about love , people loved the series and felt this chemistry
• Can you tell us about your memories in the series with Tuba?
• When we were meeting (me , Tuba and onur ) , we used to laugh alot but as the director was very serious and nervous , he didn't allow so much fun and laughing and his seriousness and nervousness were making us laugh more so I remember that we had to repeat shooting some scenes about 10 times . Tuba was able to stop laughing while me and onur were keep laughing . Tuba was doing her work well and she is a serious and proficient actress.
• Me, Beren and the Rain
• we watched Beren Saat as samar in the series "forbidden love" and you acted with her in the series "Remember darling" , can you tell us something about her?
• I first met Beren just after I came back from France and this series was our first work together , I remember that we were shooting at "Büyükada " "the big Island" , the director was so precise in his work. Recently , I have watched the first part of the series and I felt that I am Fascinated with it as our director perfectly described this period of time with his great imagination , he was taking us and making us flying to this period . In one of the scenes , me and Beren were looking to each other while the seagulls were supposed to fly in the background , we worked about 4 hours to make this scene because our director insisted to show the seagulls in the most beautiful scene. In one day, I walked out of the hotel to go to the shooting waiting for them to come and pick me up but in this morning it was raining heavily and I found that Beren was also waiting under the rain (Cansel laughing) , we waited together about 15 minutes under the rain. After that I made a phone call then they sent us a chariot to take us to the site of shooting .  Beren is a hard working woman and a good actress, she takes her work seriously and she is very sensitive. I respect her very much  and she is for me "yasmine" (Beren's name in the series).
• " Remember darling" is the name of the series talking about the period  when the president Adnan Menderes was executed at the 60th of the last century but you don't remember this period at all ? 
• In fact , I was interested about  all the historical periods of turkey and I have read many books about this period. I know about the following period of Deniz gezmiş (a student was executed for political reasons) , my father told me about it. In my opinion 'Remember darling' series is a very important work and of course not all people are satisfied about the events of this period but they are events that should be narrated . people didn't know any thing about this period , may be they read books about it and remembered Adnan Menderes and learned many things from it.
• How wonderful , Cansel Elçin lived many years (his age is 30)  in France away from Turkey but he didn't separate from his Hometown .
• No one can separate from his hometown , not because I was in France and even if I was in Australia  , I wouldn't be away from Turkey . I served in the army for a short time as young people came from 68 different countries in the world and we lived together for the sake of this hometown . we are all parts of this country and this feeling is not special for us a lone but you can find it in arabic , chinese  or youth from any other country in the world. A man can't forget his origin and the country where he came from.
• May be you still travel to France?
• Exactly , I do that whenever I have the chance . I would like to visit all the countries of the world and till now I visited many countries. 
• I acted in a commercial with Zidan
• Can you tell us your opinion about the Arab men and women? 
• I have lived and studied in France . While I was living there , I got to know many Arab youth and we became friends . I was living in suburban and we were close together there because our cultures are similar. They were honest and loyal people and our points of view are similar. During the period of study , I was working at the end of every weeks at cafes and restaurants and the arab youth were working with me. 
• Were there celebrities living at the same suburban in paris where you were living?
• There were celebrities ; french football players like Zidan and Anelka who I got to know. I acted in a commercial in madrid with Zidan in 2006 .The most favourite things for me in this life are cinema and football. We played a match with formula when they came to Istanbul for competition and I enjoyed it a lot . we donated with the tickets price to the charity foundations which cares about poor children.
• A travel lover
•  Did you visit Arab countries?
• I visited Morocco and I loved Marrakech so much. I visited also Tunisia and Senegal .Every country has its own special characte. America, Tunisia,Mexico,Turkey and Africa have their unique nature so immediately after you came out from the plane and smell the air of a country , you will feel a different and a new taste . Now , I would like to travel to Somalia , Tanzania and Lebanon . Dubai is so interesting city and I hope to visit it.
• Do you know any Arabic actor, singer or theater actor? 
•  I like the moroccan artist 'Gad Elmaleh' ans I like also a lebanon actor but I don't remember his name. I like shakira and she has a lebanese origin too.

• Did Cansel Elçin fall in love? 
• I am happy with my private life
• What is love for you?
• I prefer the creative and inventive love not the closed and Platonic love. True love shouldn't torture the lovers. When I fall in love , I like to be proud of my love and to share my life with whom I love . I don't like sadness nor loneliness , life is too short . Let's think about what happen in 60 years for example, you spend half of the time sleeping and the other half in getting life requirements and food and the remaining time is very short. people create problems and troubles without a reasonable cause and they spend most of their time facing and solving it that's why they become sad. if we look at life from a far place like the space , we will see every thing so small to the degree that we discover that there is no importance to any inverted grief. Basically, life is not so hard but we are the ones who make it harder. if we want to search for problems , there are a lot of problems endlessly. Inspite of all what I said , sometimes I become unfair to myself. The best thing in life is to visit different countries and know new people.
• Don't you think about getting married?
• I think that marriage occur when you fall in love with a woman  and trust her. My marriage will be because of love. making family is a very important thing , I want to be a father and to have children. The more children I will have , The more I will be happy.
• I don't take fame seriously
• How did the fame affect your life?
• I work in the Tv world and we all know that it is temporary today is present and tomorrow isn't . people may forget us quickly that is why I don't take fame seriously and I don't care about it. It is a nice thing that people know me , ask for my signature and taking photos with me and sometimes they ask about my opinion in many issues. For me , this is amazing feeling that people are asking about what I think? what is interesting for me? what I am caring for? and what I am listening to?
• people Listen to you" Celebrities" and take you as idols , this makes you resposible about them
• Exactly , this is true . I participate in plans for social purposes , for example I refuse violence against women and I participate in campaigns about this and I also participate in campaigns agains drug addiction. Recently, Me, Tuba Büyüküstün and Beren saat have participated in a TV program that aim to collect donations for children with autism and after people listened to us , they knew about the presence of this disease.
• so you mean that artists should find a cure for for social illnesses?
• Of course , The main role of actors is to be a cure for social diseases through his acting because they lıve ın thıs society, they share people there experiences and feel pain for people who have diseases or disabilities.
• My story with the french handicapped
• Does the theatre represent an important thing in Cansel Elçin's life?
• In France , I played many roles in the theatre but unfortunately, in Turkey , I can't have time for theatre  because acting in series don't give me time to work in the theatre. I am trying  to attend  plays in theatres in Turkey and France because people who have experience and training in the theatre are considered to be in acting like Marathon runners. The technical informations that the person gains from acting in the theatre ,always save him in the most critical moments in usual acting. Theatre is a unique atmosphere as if we are in a war because we are in the scene face face with audience and this makes the actor personality.
• which type of roles you have mostly played in the theatre?
•  Most roles were comic , I look at people and see them laughing and in the next day, at the same moment and at the same scene of the play , despite you act in the same comic way , you don't see them laughing as much as the previous day. Theatre is a live show full of life that is why directors choose theatre actors for roles in the series because they have great experience in acting through their work in the theatre.
• Do you have any special memory about the theatre?
• I was acting in a play in paris and there was a handicapped ,a blind man,sitting in the first row infront of me directly, he couldn't see me but he was listening to me and this affected me a lot and I tried to act through  my voice and I acted that day in a wonderful way that can't be described . I joined a casting agency then I started to work in commercials and Tv shows in France because if the actor doesn't work in any agency , they don't care about him
• Do you wish to act in the theatre in turkey someday?
• I hope so and of course this will happen one day.
