The techniques of mediation are difficult to master as the beginners are always diverted due to continuous distraction. In the first few months, they find it very hard to focus their mind because of the invasion of rambling thoughts. Once the mind starts wandering, the meditators have to try hard to get it back to the focused state. Time is wasted to gain back the lost focus and the entire gamut of meditation process becomes a frustrating experience. As it takes time to excel at the meditation techniques, so instant result can not be expected at the seminal stage. The art of meditation can be imbibed through constant practice and also without help of any guidance. But without help of an expert, learning the meditation techniques becomes too tough to accomplish. The much needed guidance to impart training on meditation is available in either of two ways – conventional and contemporary. Conventional method requires a trainer to guide the meditators throughout the entire process of meditation. This type of guided meditation techniques has earned tremendous popularity in both the eastern as well as western part of the globe. Meditation is touted as the only way to bring mental peace as well as build up a harmonious balance between body and mind. Many have started to meditate regularly to inject dollops of relief into their worries-infested life. But the traditional approach to teach meditation techniques has given birth to many a confusion and misconception. Diverse approaches advocated by many experts have left the meditators at a loss as they do not know which is the right one to follow.
