Kick The Habit – Thinking About The Deadly Effects?

If you're intent on quitting smoking and you're one of those people with the right mind-set, then just thinking of all the terrible effects that smoking causes can very definitely help you successfully kick the habit permanently. This is very likely the main driving force for most smokers trying to quit in the first place. Knowing the whole range of destructive-to-health-and-mind and plain killer effects of sucking down tobacco smoke and puffing it back out so that every person else around you inhales your second-hand smoke would at least, to begin with, usually be the first push toward that first step of quitting. Generally speaking, the most common way of driving home those anti-smoking campaigns is in fact by the regular quoting or presentation of all the various harmful aspects of smoking - from anti-social aspects like your breath stinking like an "old ashtray" through to the deadly miserable slow deaths caused by cancers and lung diseases like emphysema. You'd think that being armed with this terrifying knowledge would be more than enough to make sure you're disgusted by the horrible things that you're doing to yourself and the horrible health risks you're most unquestionably putting your own and other peoples' bodies through, which in turn is intended to help you quit for good. Very sadly, this is just not the case at all - it just doesn't work for a lot of people, since they're more (unjustifiably) frightened of what would happen to them if they can't get their regular fix!
